How is Trussdee priced?

Trussdee is in beta testing with select families. Pricing has not been determined yet.

Are there limits on accounts?

No. You can add as many family members as you like. Each family member gets their own login and portal to view their reports and metrics.

How far back can Trussdee pull historical data?

The depth of historical transactions and balances depends on what each institution makes available through its data connection. We pull in as much data as they allow us. Many brokerages and banks provide between 3 months and 1 year of historical data; some support longer histories. Real estate valuations are typically current with historical estimates going back to your initial purchase data where data is available.

How often do prices update?

Stock price data updates every 15 minutes through our partner Alpha Vantage.

Option price data updates at the end of the trading day through our partner Alpha Vantage.

Crypto prices update every 15 minutes through our partner Alpha Vantage.

Real estate valuations and rental estimates automatically update monthly. You can request the system to re-check those values up to three times a month. House Canary provides the valuations and estimates.

Transactions and non-investment balances update as they are sent by financial institutions. Updates from some institutions may have a one-day delay.

How often do accounts sync?

Connected accounts sync as soon as the financial institutions send new data. Each institution is different. Some send multiple updates per day and others only update once a day.

What types of assets and liabilities does Trussdee support?

Trussdee consolidates bank accounts, brokerages, crypto exchange accounts, credit cards and loans, direct investments, partnerships, family LLCs, private equity, hedge funds, venture investments, collectibles, and other alternatives. Real estate is supported with continuous value tracking and rent estimates through our partner House Canary. Liabilities such as mortgages, lines of credit, and card balances are tracked alongside assets for net worth, cash flow, and credit usage views. Ownership can be assigned at the individual, household, or entity level, including fractional shares.

Which providers does Trussdee use to connect to my accounts?

Trussdee uses licensed data aggregators to connect securely to financial institutions. See the detailed flow in our Privacy Policy: Finicity, MX Technologies, and Plaid retrieve account and transaction data, which is passed through Quiltt, Inc. as the primary aggregation layer. FinGoal enriches transactions for categorization. Real estate data comes through House Canary. For crypto, we support direct API connections to exchanges for transaction history.

How do I connect my crypto exchange accounts?

Trussdee supports pulling transaction data from major crypto exchanges using read-only API keys. You generate the keys in your exchange account settings. Never share keys that allow trading or withdrawals. The Coinbase, Binance, Crypto.com, Kraken, Gemini, and Robinhood Crypto guides below walk through the flow.

Creating a Coinbase API Key

Trussdee requires a read-only API key from the standard Coinbase.com platform to securely import crypto transaction history and balances.

Security note: Use View or Read Only permissions only. Never enable trade, transfer, or withdrawal access.
1

Log in and open Settings

Log in to Coinbase.com. Click your profile icon and select Settings.

2

Navigate to API settings

On the Settings page, click See More, then select API.

3

Create a new API key

On the API Keys table, click Create API Key.

4

Configure the key

Name the key, choose the portfolio, and select View or Read Only permissions.

5

Create and download the key

Create and download the key file. Store it securely.

6

Add the key to Trussdee

Copy the API Key Name and API Key exactly into Trussdee.

Connecting Binance

Trussdee supports Binance.US for U.S.-based accounts and Binance.com for international accounts. Use the matching connection type in Trussdee so the sync talks to the right Binance platform.

Important lot-tracking note: If you previously used Binance's quick Buy Crypto button, Binance may only send your current account balance. After the account syncs, open the coins in Holdings Performance and use Add Lot Breakdown to enter historical purchases so Trussdee can calculate performance accurately.
1

Add historical lots if needed

If past Buy Crypto purchases only sync as a current balance, find the holding in Trussdee and select Add Lot Breakdown to enter the missing purchase history.

2

Avoid quick Buy Crypto for future trades

Going forward, avoid the quick Buy Crypto flow when you want detailed lot tracking. Binance may not send the full transaction detail from that purchase path.

3

Use Spot Trading instead

Make future Binance purchases from the Spot Trading screen. Spot trades sync with the transaction detail Trussdee needs for lots and cost basis.

4

Confirm the Spot Trade screen

The Spot Trade screen is where buy and sell activity should be placed when you want the exchange history to support automated cost-basis tracking.

5

Open API Management

From the menu in the upper right of Binance, select API Management.

6

Name the API key

Give the key a clear name, such as Trussdee, so you can identify and remove this specific connection later without affecting other apps.

7

Copy the key before closing Binance

After two-factor authentication, copy the key information before closing the browser tab. For API Restrictions, leave Enable Read as the only checked permission.

8

Add the Binance connection in Trussdee

Enter the key information, name the connection, and click Connect. Choose Binance.US for U.S.-based accounts or Binance.com for international accounts.

Connecting Crypto.com

Trussdee can sync Crypto.com holdings and transaction data only through the Crypto.com Exchange platform. The standard Crypto.com mobile app does not provide API keys for third-party syncing.

Platform note: Crypto.com has two separate experiences: the mobile app and Crypto.com Exchange. If your assets are in the mobile app, you can move them to Crypto.com Exchange for free by choosing Withdraw to another platform and selecting Crypto.com Exchange after you have created an exchange account.
1

Use Crypto.com Exchange

Create or log in to your Crypto.com Exchange account. API keys are available from the exchange trading platform, not from the standard Crypto.com app.

2

Open Manage Account

After signing in to Crypto.com Exchange, open the menu in the upper right and select Manage Account.

3

Create an API key

On the Manage Account dashboard, open the API Management tab and click Create API Key.

4

Copy the API secret immediately

After two-factor authentication, Crypto.com shows your API secret. Copy it now and store it securely because Crypto.com will not show the secret again.

5

Edit the new API key

After copying the API secret, close the secret window. Back on the API Management dashboard, click Edit on the key you just created.

6

Set read-only transaction access

Make sure the key is enabled for transactions and set to read-only access. You can ignore the dedicated IP address section. Copy the API key from this screen; you will need it with the API secret from the previous step.

7

Add Crypto.com to Trussdee

In Trussdee, select Crypto.com as the provider, name the connection, enter the API key and API secret, then click Connect at the bottom of the page.

Connecting Kraken

Trussdee connects to Kraken through a read-only API key created in Kraken Pro. Kraken Pro is free to use, includes your existing Kraken holdings, and adds the advanced settings needed to create API keys.

Security note: Select only Query, Query closed orders & trades, and Query ledger entries. Those permissions let Trussdee read balances and transaction history without allowing account actions.
1

Switch to Kraken Pro

After logging in to Kraken, click the 9-by-9 app switcher icon near the upper right and open Kraken Pro. It is free to use and your Kraken holdings are available there.

2

Open Settings

In Kraken Pro, open the dropdown menu and select Settings.

3

Go to Connections and APIs

From Settings, open the Connections and APIs tab.

4

Create a new API key

Click Create API Key to start a new key for Trussdee.

5

Name the key and set permissions

Name the key, then select Query, Query closed orders & trades, and Query ledger entries. Leave the other permissions off, then click Generate Key.

6

Copy the API key and private key

Copy the API key and Private key before closing the window. Store them securely or add them to Trussdee now; Kraken will not show these values again.

7

Add Kraken to Trussdee

In Trussdee, select Kraken as the provider, enter the API key and Private key, name the connection, and click Connect at the bottom of the page.

Connecting Gemini

Trussdee connects to Gemini through a read-only API key created in your Gemini account settings. Use Auditor permissions so Trussdee can sync balances and transaction history without trade or withdrawal access.

Security note: Select Auditor permissions only. Use Unrestricted for the IP allowlist so Trussdee sync jobs can connect, but do not enable trading, transfer, or withdrawal permissions.
1

Open Gemini Settings

Log in to Gemini, open the profile menu in the upper-right corner, and select Settings.

2

Open API settings

In the left-hand settings menu, select API.

3

Dismiss the IP notification

If Gemini shows an IP allowlist notification, dismiss it and continue.

4

Create an API key

On the API settings page, click Create API key.

5

Select the account to sync

Choose the Gemini account you want Trussdee to sync. Select Master if you want to sync all accounts.

6

Name the key and set permissions

Name the key so you can identify it as Trussdee, select Auditor permissions, and choose Unrestricted for the IP allowlist. Auditor access is read-only.

7

Copy the API key and secret

Copy both values before closing the dialog. Gemini will not show the API secret again after this screen.

8

Add Gemini to Trussdee

In Trussdee, select Gemini as the provider, paste the API key and API secret, then click Connect at the bottom of the drawer.

Connecting Robinhood Crypto

Robinhood Crypto connections use a paired key setup. Generate a public key in Trussdee, add that public key to Robinhood with Read permissions, then copy Robinhood's API key back into Trussdee.

Security note: Select Read permissions only. Read-only access lets Trussdee sync balances and transaction history without allowing trades or other account actions.
1

Open Settings

Log in to Robinhood and open Settings from your account menu.

2

Open the Crypto tab

In Settings, select Crypto from the tabbed menu.

3

Add an API key

Click Add API key. If you do not see the button, scroll farther down the Crypto settings page.

4

Generate a public key in Trussdee

Return to Trussdee, select Robinhood as the provider, and click Generate. Keep the drawer open until the connection is complete because this public key must be paired with the Robinhood key you create.

5

Copy the public key

Copy the public key from Trussdee, then return to Robinhood.

6

Name the key and set Read access

Give the key a recognizable name, select Read permissions, paste the public key from Trussdee, and click Save.

7

Open the key details

After the key appears in the table, click Details.

8

Copy the Robinhood API key

Copy the value in the API Key field, then return to the open Trussdee drawer.

9

Add Robinhood to Trussdee

Paste the Robinhood API key into Trussdee, confirm the connection name, and click Connect at the bottom of the drawer.

10

Open connection management

After the connection is created, find the Robinhood Crypto connection in Trussdee and click Manage.

11

Set the shared cash account

If Robinhood Crypto should share cash with a Robinhood brokerage account, select that account. Otherwise leave No shared cash account selected, then save.
